AZ55 Galvalume
AZ55 (Galvalume) Steel Product Guide
Applications | Specifications | Mechanical and Chemical Data | Tolerances
Overview
AZ55 Galvalume steel is an alternative to galvanized steel which has a higher corrosion resistance to galvanized material. The two coating types undergo the same hot-dipping process, however, the coating of galvalume consists of approximately 50% aluminum, 50% zinc, and trace elements of silicon. The main purpose of galvalume is to protect steel from oxidizing/rusting. Due to this quality, galvalume is often used in outdoor metal paneling and roofing applications.
This material comes with a unique spangle pattern that will change on every sheet.
